Devlog #3


I have designed and built (and in some cases rebuilt) 3 enemies and a boss. There's a ghost which flies around unobstructed by terrain. A Shadow monster that patrols platforms. And a spitting worm/snake creature that pops up from the ground before spitting at you and then retreating underground again. The boss is a nesting doll where you have to defeat each layer before you can claim victory. The boss still needs some tweaking but is roughly functional.


The menus are all basically functional. I am having a problem where the pause menu in game is not very responsive. It takes a couple of times pressing the pause button in order to actually get the game to pause. I'm not sure how to fix this. The main menu works well, except sometimes if you return to the main menu from say the settings menu you can then gain control of the Lumi scene I have placed on there. It should be nonfunctional while on the main menu and just show a small animation and the light from his light stalk. 


I've built a couple of levels so far. The first one needs to be reworked but the other two are okay. The next steps for me are to layout more levels now that I have the cast of enemies to work with.
